Bob was born in a small town in Ohio and learned the value of hard work at an early age. Bob has always met challenges head on and in school he excelled in music.  After high school, Bob extended his music career by joining the United States Marine Corps and came to Virginia for the first time to attend the Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. 

 While serving in the Marine Corps, Bob was an accomplished trumpet player and spent four years in Okinawa, Japan.  At the age of twenty-two his career brought him permanently back to Stafford County to serve in the Quantico Marine Corps Band.  Bob rose quickly through the ranks in the Marine Corps, but found his career cut short by a medical issue that forced him to end his military service.  While waiting for his medical discharge, Bob attended Northern Virginia Community College and completed his Associate's Degree in six months as well as finishing his Bachelor's degree in an additional seven months.  After receiving an honorable discharge, Bob began working for a large government contractor in McLean, Virginia. 

 In 2006, Bob followed his entrepreneurial spirit and left his job with the government contractor to start his own company.  Joined by a fellow Marine, Bob founded Capriccio Software, Inc. and established it in Stafford County.  Bob has grown the company to 18 people and takes great pride in providing jobs locally here in Stafford County.

 Bob currently serves the residents of Stafford as Chairman of the Stafford County Telecommunications Commission.  He also serves on a subcommittee focused on expanding broadband in the county.  Bob recently finished an assignment to a subcommittee where he worked with members and with staff to update the Telecommunications Section of the County's Comprehensive Plan.  Bob enjoys working with citizens and has established a great working relationship with county staff. 

 Bob is married to Christina Calverley of White Oak and together they are raising their seven children.
